‘Game Changer’ Sets Season 8 Premiere on Dropout (TV News Roundup)

Comedy streaming service Dropout has announced that the eighth season of “Game Changer,” the panel game show with a constantly changing premise, will premiere on May 18.
The season will release its 10 episodes on Dropout biweekly and will host Brennan Lee Mulligan, Vic Michaelis, Jeremy Culhane, Lou Wilson, Anna Garcia, Demi Adejuyigbe, Oscar Montoya, Jacob Wysocki, Zac Oyama, Josh Ruben, and more as competitors.
Season 8 of “Game Changer” is executive-produced and hosted by Sam Reich, with executive producer David Kerns. Co-executive producers for the season are Chloe Badner, Elaine Carroll, Ryan Creamer, Sam Geer, Brennan Lee Mulligan and Paul Robalino.

AMC Global Media has released the trailer for “The Vampire Lestat,” Season 3 of the show previously known as “Interview with the Vampire.”
Adapted from the novels by the late Anne Rice, the upcoming season follows the titular Lestat (Sam Reid) as he embarks on a multi-city tour as the world’s first immortal rock star, all while being haunted by his past.
In addition to Reid, “The Vampire Lestat” stars Jacob Anderson, Assad Zaman, Eric Bogosian, Delainey Hayles and Jennifer Ehle. The show is executive produced by Mark Johnson, creator, writer and showrunner Rolin Jones, and Hannah Moscovitch, along with Christopher and Anne Rice.
“The Vampire Lestat” premieres on June 7 at 9 p.m. ET on AMC and AMC+.

Apple TV has released the trailer for the “For All Mankind” spinoff “Star City,” premiering on May 29.
Per the logline, “Star City” “takes us back to the key moment in the alt-history retelling of the space race – when the Soviet Union became the first nation to put a man on the moon. But this time, we explore the story from behind the Iron Curtain, showing the lives of the cosmonauts, the engineers, and the intelligence officers embedded among them in the Soviet space program, and the risks they all took to propel humankind forward.”
The series stars Rhys Ifans (“House of the Dragon”), Anna Maxwell Martin (“Motherland”), Agnes O’Casey (“Black Doves”), Alice Englert (“Bad Behaviour”), Solly McLeod (“House of the Dragon”), Adam Nagaitis (“Chernobyl”), Ruby Ashbourne Serkis (“I, Jack Wright”), Josef Davies (“Andor”) and Priya Kansara (“Bridgerton”).
“Star City” is created by “For All Mankind” EPs Ben Nedivi, Matt Wolpert and Ronald D. Moore. Wolpert and Nedivi serve as showrunners and executive produce alongside Moore and Maril Davis of Tall Ship Productions, as well as Andrew Chambliss and Steve Oster. “Star City” is produced for Apple TV by Sony Pictures Television.

PARTNERSHIPS
Sonic Gods Studios is partnering with Fremantle’s Asia-based label Beach House Pictures to co-produce a Singapore-set version of “60 Day Hustle,” marking the franchise’s first major expansion outside the U.S.
The new edition of the business competition show will be hosted by entrepreneur and “Bling Empire” star Kelly Mi Li.
“60 Day Hustle” follows a group of early-stage entrepreneurs competing in an intense, high-stakes environment designed to test their ability to build, market and scale a business in just 60 days.
The Singapore edition will adapt the format for an Asian audience, spotlighting regional talent while maintaining the show’s core structure.
The Singaporean production will be led by Jocelyn Little and Donovan Chan, Managing Director and Creative Director of Beach House Pictures, with Michelle Delamor, Chris Hayman, Adam Horner, and Mi Li serving as executive producers.
SeriesFest and Next50 Foundation have partnered on the festival’s annual TV Writing Lab, which is now accepting submissions at seriesfest.com. This year’s program will focus on unproduced 20 minute to 45 minute pilot scripts that “challenge perceptions of aging and move beyond traditional stereotypes.”
Three pilot scripts will then be selected to participate in a three-day intensive this fall. Call to Adventure
Media will lead the process, with selected projects to be workshopped with industry mentors and experts.

RELEASE DATES
Prime Video has released the official trailer and set a premiere date for Season 2 of “Citadel,” the spy thriller from Amazon MGM Studios and the Russo brothers’ AGBO. The new season will debut May 6, with all seven episodes dropping on the streaming service globally.
The series stars Richard Madden and Priyanka Chopra Jonas as former elite operatives Mason Kane and Nadia Sinh, alongside Stanley Tucci as Bernard Orlick. The story follows the remnants of the global spy agency Citadel, which was destroyed by the powerful syndicate Manticore. In Season 2, the characters are pulled back into action as a new global threat emerges, forcing them to recruit additional operatives to stop a widening conspiracy.
Returning cast members include Lesley Manville and Ashleigh Cummings. New additions this season include Jack Reynor, Matt Berry and Lina El Arabi, along with Merle Dandridge, Gabriel Leone and Rayna Vallandingham.
From Amazon MGM Studios, “Citadel” is executive produced by Anthony Russo, Angela Russo-Otstot and Scott Nemes for AGBO. RENEWALS
INSP TV series “Wild West Chronicles” has been renewed for a sixth season. The show will return for six new 30 minute episodes, bringing the franchise to 65 total episodes.
Filming on Season 6 is set to begin April 22. The series, which stars Jack Elliott as Bat Masterson, comes from Imagicomm Entertainment.
“’Wild West Chronicles’ has become an integral part of our overall brand and programming strategy, consistently resonating with audiences who are drawn to authentic, character-driven storytelling,” said Craig Miller, VP of original programming at INSP. “As we move into Season 6, we’re continuing to build on that momentum by telling true stories of the American West that are much more engaging than a stodgy documentary.”
PROGRAMMING
The fifth annual “Las Culturistas Culture Awards” will air June 17 from 9 to 11 p.m. ET, simulcasting on Bravo and Peacock. The awards will once again be hosted by comedians Matt Rogers and Bowen Yang, who host the popular “Las Culturistas” podcast.
The awards is described as a “comedy variety special that celebrates culture’s most iconic and consequential moments. With more than 100 unique award categories, live musical performances, and unexpected celebrity encounters, this show truly brings the culture’s most crucial moments to life.”
The awards will tape on May 30 in Los Angeles at the United Theater on Broadway. Tickets will be available for presale beginning Friday, ahead of the general on-sale April 27 at 10 a.m. local time. Tickets are available here.
The “Las Culturistas Culture Awards” is produced and distributed internationally by Lionsgate Alternative Television. Rogers and Yang serve as executive producers, alongside Lauren LeMieux, Jonah McMichael and 3 Arts’ Olivia Gerke and showrunner Jane Mun.

The 33rd annual Race to Erase MS Gala will honor Disney Entertainment Television Communications EVP Naomi Bulochnikov-Paul, founder Nancy Davis announced Thursday. Bulochnikov-Paul will receive the organization’s Medal of Hope at the gala, which will take place on June 5 at the Fairmont Century Plaza in Los Angeles.
Since Bulochnikov-Paul’s MS diagnosis, she has set an example of what it means to lead with “strength, consistency and intention,” per Race to Erase MS. As one of the entertainment industry’s leading communication executives, she has used both her voice and platform to show that while her diagnosis may reshape parts of her life, it does not define her.
“We are proud to honor Naomi with the Medal of Hope for her leadership, her advocacy, and for the example she sets for others learning to navigate life after an MS diagnosis while continuing to pursue what matters most,” said Davis in a statement.
The annual event is one of the most important fundraising events supporting innovative research and therapeutic approaches to eradicate MS. Jesse Palmer will host the evening, which will also feature a fashion show from L’Agence, a silent auction and dinner featuring live musical performances.
Matt and Ross Duffer will receive the Visionary Tribute for Netflix’s “Stranger Things” at the Third Annual Gotham Television Awards. The awards will take place live and in person on June 1st at Cipriani Wall Street in New York City.
“With ‘Stranger Things,’ Matt and Ross Duffer built a world entirely their own and reimagined the possibilities of event storytelling,” said Jeffrey Sharp, executive director of The Gotham Film & Media Institute. “The Visionary Tribute recognizes boundary-pushing work that will inspire the next generation, and Matt and Ross have created a defining cultural force that reshaped the television landscape. We are proud to celebrate their singular contribution at this year’s Gotham Television Awards.”
Debuting in 2016, “Stranger Things” quickly became one of the most celebrated series of the streaming era. Across its run, the show has earned critical acclaim and awards, including 12 Primetime Emmy Awards. Upon release of Season 5, all five seasons remained in the global top 10 for a record-breaking eight weeks, and Season 5 Volume 1 debuted with 59.6 million global views.
Additional honorees for the Third Annual Gotham Television Awards will be revealed in the coming weeks. Nominees in the competitive categories will be announced on April 28.
